So, what’s new with me?

I started a new job last month at a big corporate tech company designing UI so I’ve been busy with that. Basically doing work I never thought I would be doing again and at a company I never would have thought I’d like working at. As it turns out, I actually love it. They’re already talking about extending my 6-week contract. Expect the unexpected indeed.

Been enjoying the unprecedented lovely spring weather – or at least, the sprinkling of sunny days we’ve been blessed to have. We drove up to Mt. Vernon to check out the Tulip Festival last month, and hosted a BBQ for some of our friends on one recent 78-degree(!!) Saturday.

Warmer weather means longer days here in Seattle. The sun is out til nearly 9 pm!

As a perpetual wearer of pink lipgloss, I surprisingly became a fan of matte lipstick in coral-red-orange shades. I’m wearing Purty Persimmon from Wet n Wild here, but their 24 Carrot Gold shade is my favorite.

Been loving everything Zara has been putting out there lately, especially now that I need work clothes. This bleached denim jacket has been my latest standout purchase.

Wedding planning has been rather slow, but I recently became inspired to finally start a registry after spotting these gold-rimmed bowls at West Elm. Too bad they don’t offer registry service!

And lastly, I’m hoping this nasty cold I caught will be gone by the weekend, when I’ll be heading south for Sasquatch, my very first music festival!
