Pinning ( // A Giveaway )

( My 'Style' board // Pinterest.com )

Pinterest.com // Design school taught me all about mood boards and collecting ephemera of scraps that inspired me. Being visual is all about seeing, seeing is all about being visible. I started using Pinterest earlier this year to create online mood boards to aid in my daily quest for inspiration and it immediately moved to the top of my most used sites list. Whether it’s been for a design project or what to wear, seeing all my inspirations put up in one place really helps me focus on the exact direction I’m heading in. And I’d say it’s definitely inspired most of my site designs lately into taking on a similar free-form grid structure.

Pinterest is currently featuring some of their members’ spring fashion + style pins, including the one above from yours truly. I think this Spring/Summer season is one of my favorites for fashion. Everything that’s currently in style is exactly what I want to wear: high waists, flared denim, 70s anything, neutrals and blush tones, mint and camel.

Membership to Pinterest is invite only, but thanks to them I have a number of invites to give away to some lucky readers.

I would definitely use Pinterest as another tool to share all the amazing things I come across on the web and from my fellow bloggers. I’m relatively new to this blogging world and am thrilled to have found such a wonderful, creative community to be apart of! Cheers, thanks for the op!

Inspiration for songwriting for sure, and ways to visually express the meaning in a song. Since writing my own stuff, I often imagine what the visual story would be and how adding a video element could either support or completely annihilate the meaning of a song. I’d rather tell a story.
